Reliability in Elastomer Processing: An In-Mold Apporach to Cure Control

English
4 - 5 p.m. CEST / 10 - 11 a.m EDT

Unlock process control, quality, and efficiency

Elastomer part manufacturing can be unpredictable, as even minor deviations in material behavior can lead to inconsistent vulcanization, reduced part quality, and increased scrap rates. These deviations often remain undetected during production, making it difficult to ensure process stability and product performance.

This webinar explores the root causes behind cure-related quality issues in elastomer processing and introduces a targeted solution. You’ll learn how sensXPERT® equips manufacturers with real time, in-mold insights into material behavior, enabling dynamic cure control during each cycle. By addressing material variability directly at the source, sensXPERT® empowers manufacturers to consistently meet quality standards regardless of fluctuations in raw material properties.

Join our expert, Dr. Nicholas Ecke, to discover how real-time cure control is transforming elastomer processing from reactive to proactive, reducing waste, increasing efficiency, and delivering high-performance parts with confidence.

Agenda:

  • Industry Challenges in Elastomer Processing
  • Understanding the Root Cause: Material Behavior Variability
  • Introducing Real-Time Cure Control with sensXPERT®
  • Application Insights: Real-World Examples

Dr. Nicholas Ecke

Since October 2022, Dr. Nicholas Ecke has joined the NETZSCH Process Intelligence GmbH team around Dr. Alexander Chaloupka. The application engineer studied process and medical engineering at the Technical University of Munich and was a chief engineer at the Chair of Composite Materials at the Technical University of Kaiserslautern. In 2021, he completed his doctorate in engineering with his dissertation, which was awarded the Oechsler Prize. The thesis dealt with methods and approaches for developing and designing tribological components made of plastics. As a sensXPERT®, Dr. Nicholas Ecke takes care of the smooth integration of the intelligent sensor technology sensXPERT® in the production processes of customers worldwide.
