NETZSCH Sets out Recommendations for Kinetic Analysis of Multi-Step Processes
During 16th ICTAC, it was decided to develop recommendations for the kinetic analysis of multi-step reactions. NETZSCH Analyzing & Testing is the only enterprise specialized in the development and production of commercial kinetics software that was invited to participate in this project to develop these recommendations. We are proud to announce that the recommendations are now available!
During 16th ICTAC (International Committee of Thermal Analysis and Calorimetry) Congress (Orlando, FL, USA, 2016), it was decided to develop recommendations for the kinetic analysis of multi-step reactions. NETZSCH Analyzing & Testing is the only enterprise specialized in the development and production of commercial kinetics software that was invited to participate in this project to develop these recommendations. The objective was to support non-experts in a more efficient performance of multi-step kinetic analyses and interpretation of the results. We are proud to announce that the recommendations are now available and published as an article “ICTAC Kinetics Committee recommendations for analysis of multi-step kinetics” to be used worldwide. In chapter 2 “Multi-Step model-fitting”, Dr. Elena Moukhina provides a clear description of basic principles and main recommendations for “isoconversional” (also known as “model free”) methods and “multi-step model fitting” (also known as “model based”) methods as well as kinetics of CrystallizationCrystallization is the physical process of hardening during the formation and growth of crystals.
