질량밀도(밀도) 

질량밀도(밀도) 는 질량과 부피사이의 비율로 정의됩니다. 

부피는 일반적으로 온도와 압력의 함수 입니다. 질량 변화는 부피효과에 비해 상대적으로 작으면 TGA또는 STA측정으로 관찰 할 수 있습니다. 밀도는 재료가 가진 특성입니다. 열분석의 맥락에서 밀도는 온도의 함수로 나타납니다. 

소프트웨어를 사용하여, 고체 및 액체 샘플과 고체에서 액체로의 전이(예 : 금속의 용융, 아래예 참조)에 대한 밀도 변화를 계산할 수 있습니다. 이러한 계산은 팽창을 기반으로 하며 DIL(Dilatometry)를 통해 측정할 수 있습니다..
