Seebeck Coefficient and Electrical Conductivity of PbTe

Lead telluride has good performance as a thermoelectric material, partly due to the low Thermal ConductivityThermal conductivity (λ with the unit W/(m•K)) describes the transport of energy – in the form of heat – through a body of mass as the result of a temperature gradient (see fig. 1). According to the second law of thermodynamics, heat always flows in the direction of the lower temperature.thermal conductivity and partly due to its electrical properties.

This plots exhibits the Seebeck coefficient (green curve) and Electrical Conductivity (SBA)Electrical conductivity is a physical property indicating a material's ability to allow the transport of an electric charge.electrical conductivity (blue curve) between room temperature and 250°C. The dotted green line represents the PTB1)-certified values. A good correlation can be observed indicating the reliability of the system.
