The New Home for Kinexus and Rosand Rheometers

NETZSCH Analyzing & Testing acquired the rheology product line, including a team of international specialists, from Malvern Panalytical in January 2020. We are very excited about the future of our new rheology products. Today, we are reaching out to all of our Kinexus and Rosand rheometer users to answer any questions you may have in this article.

Who is NETZSCH?

The Analyzing & Testing business unit of the NETZSCH Group develops and manufactures a complete range of high-precision instruments. These are specifically used for thermal analysis and thermophysical property measurements. We also offer world class commercial testing services in our laboratories. Our instrumentation is employed for research and quality control in industries such as: polymers, chemical, building materials, metallurgy, food and pharmaceuticals, asphalt and bitumen and environmental analysis.

What rheometer products do we now support?

Following the successful acquisition, the following state-of-the-art product lines have our full support: Kinexus Rotational Rheometers (Lab+Pro+ and Ultra+), Kinexus DSR (DSR IIIDSR-EDSR and DSR+) and Rosand Capillary Rheometers (RH2000, RH2200RH7 and RH10) including a wide range of accessories for all instruments. These state-of-the-art product lines are being continued and supported.

Please note: The earlier technology Bohlin rheometers (CVO, Gemini and Bohlin DSR range) have been discontinued and the class-leading Kinexus range are the direct replacements.

Will NETZSCH further develop the rheometer product lines?

Yes, we have dedicated R&D teams to continue developing the already unique features of the Kinexus and Rosand rheometer lines.

Will the devices still have the same quality in the future?

All rheometer production procedures (governed by ISO9001) have been transferred and will continue to be developed and improved.

Who do I have a service contract with now?

Your service contracts and level of support of the state-of-the-art rheometers have been transferred, providing you with ongoing continuity – there is nothing you need to do.

What happens to my guarantee?

All instruments within the guarantee period are now fully covered by NETZSCH.

Does this apply to all countries?

Yes, NETZSCH acquired the rheology business from Malvern Panalytical as a going global concern.

Will the distributors in my country remain the same?

In some locations nothing will change and your distributor will remain the same. However, for others the country may now fall under a direct territory or different distributor. To find out if this has changed for you, please click here!
