Intrinsic viscosity IV (also called Staudinger Index)
It describes the capacity of a polymer to increase the viscosity of a solvent [1]. It is measured by determining the relative viscosities of several polymer solutions at different concentrations [2]. The intrinsic viscosity of a polymer is closely related to its molecular weight.
