Specific heat capacity is an important parameter describing the thermal properties of materials, which has important applications in the fields of energy, biomedicine, material science and environment. This can be used to study thermal properties, temperature control and regulation, calculation of heat capacity, as well as identification and analysis. Here, we will introduce the standards, methods and tips for the measurement of specific heat capacity by DSC or STA. Also some cases of high temperature specific heat capacity will be presented.
