NETZSCH Stands for Sustainability

Actions speak louder than words! For NETZSCH, sustainability means constantly striving to uphold responsibility in our actions by integrating social and environmental concerns into our everyday business. For us, sustainability goes beyond mere compliance with regulations. Our group of companies takes an intensive interest in how we deal with economic, social and ecological effects and how we organize our relationships with business and trade partners as well as employees.

What Exactly Do We Do to Ensure Sustainable Behavior?

Along with our Code of Conduct, it is our Integrated Management System – based on the four pillars of quality, occupational health and safety, energy, and the environment – that forms the foundation. We are independently certified by third parties in all four areas and have thus committed to continuous improvement.

But We Do a Lot More Yet!

Ecodesign of Our Analyzers

The analyzers offered by NETZSCH are designed for many years of use. Our instruments can be repaired, upgraded and optimized, and spare parts are available for decades. Our products are designed to minimize the use of resources. Over the past five years, for example, we have been able to reduce consumption and CO2 emissions per analyzer produced each year. This is now 60% lower than it was in 2018.

With our STA – the Simultaneous Thermal Analyzer – and the HFM Heat Flow Meter, we are setting standards for maximum energy efficiency with our Eco-Line generation of analyzers!

Our brand-new TG 309 Libra® thermobalance features an eco-mode function to switch off the thermostat when the thermobalance is not in use. This improves efficiency, reduces environmental impact and saves costs.

Sustainable Procurement

The purchasing departments at our largest production sites work with local specialists to coordinate actions across all sites to meet our Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) and environmental protection requirements.

This has been recognized by the BME with the award of the BME RPO Level 1 Bronze Certificate.

Optimization of Processes and Building Technology

We are continuing to improve our carbon footprint by introducing reusable packaging, modernizing the air conditioning technology at our headquarters in Selb, installing energy-efficient LED lighting technology and using heat recovery from compressed air in our production halls.

Since January 1, 2023, we have been using 100% green electricity. For us, this means that we now rely 100% on renewable energies such as wind, water and solar energy.

Certificate: NETZSCH uses 100% green electricity.
