NETZSCH is German Design Award Winner 2024 for Excellent Product Design

We are proud having received Design Awards for the DSC 300 Caliris® and DMA 303 Eplexor®!

The German Design Award is presented annually by the German Design Council, Germany's trademark and design authority, on behalf of the highest authority for new developments in the German design industry. Established in 1953 as a foundation on the initiative of the German Parliament, it supports the industry in all matters consistently aimed at generating added brand value through design. This makes the German Design Council one of the world’s leading competence centers for communication and brand management in the field of design.

The winner of the German Design Award is determined by an independent international jury of experts comprising representatives from industry, university and design. The Awards set international standards for innovative design developments and competitiveness on the global market.

True to our maxim Proven Excellence: The NETZSCH DSC 300 Caliris® Wins the GOLD Award for Excellent Product Design

The DSC 300 Caliris® Supreme & Select receives the "Gold" Award. This is the highest honor awarded for excellent, holistic and innovative design achievements!

The NETZSCH DSC 300 Caliris® delivers precise measurement results on thermal effects of a sample. The innovative platform concept allows for resource-saving production and logistics of the product family. Individual modules including sensor, furnace and electronics are exchangeable by the operator. The ergonomically optimized handling takes place via the signature touch display. Status information or interaction demands are signaled by the colored LED strip, which is clearly visible from afar.

Statement of the Jury

“The DSC 300 Caliris® impresses with highest quality and attention to detail. The innovative device for measuring caloric effects convinces with precise results and a well thought-out platform concept. Resource-saving manufacturing and logistics reflect a sustainable approach, while the ability of easily replacing individual modules also increases service life and user-friendliness. The additional ergonomically optimized operation via touch display and colored LED strip for the display of status information are remarkable. The company has invested heavily in design from the outset, and this is clearly reflected in the consistency of the product design.”

NETZSCH DMA 303 Eplexor® Wins Award For Excellent Product Design

Our new corporate product design combines a variety of appliance classes, sizes and functions in a uniform brand language. The second product on the market, the DMA 303 Eplexor® also wins the coveted "winner" award for outstanding and exemplary design achievements!

The DMA 303 analyzes the dynamic-mechanical properties of technical materials with high precision. The innovative platform concept allows for resource-saving production and logistics of the product family.  The height-adjustable measuring head allows for different working height options including both seated or standing. The signature display provides important information in real time. In addition, the colored LED status bar shows the device status even from a distance.

“The DMA 303 Eplexor® instrument for analyzing technical materials impresses with a formally clear, minimalist housing design, which is consistently designed for functionality and ergonomics with its large, centrally positioned display and has a very modern and technically advanced overall appearance.”

NETZSCH at Awards Show in Frankfurt a. M.

Every year, the award-winning products, concepts and realizations of the German Design Award are presented to the public in a special award show and exhibition at the and exhibition at Kap Europa congress hall, Frankfurt am Main, Germany.

This year's award show, which honored the "Gold" award winners and announced the "Newcomer of the Year", took place on Friday, January 26, in Frankfurt.

On behalf of NETZSCH-Gerätebau, Gabriele Stock (Product Launch Manager) and Dr. Fabian Wohlfahrt (Head of Research & Development Mechanics), attended the event along with Mareike Roth and Oliver Saiz of design agency hochE and proudly received the two awards.
