NETZSCH Group Publishes First Sustainability Report
The NETZSCH Group has published its inaugural comprehensive sustainability report, which is compliant with CSRD. Although the company has not yet been required to report, NETZSCH has chosen to take the initiative. The report details the measures already implemented, planned investments and areas for improvement. A third-party audit confirms full compliance with CSRD (Corporate Sustainability Reporting Directive) andESRS (European Sustainability Reporting Standards).
'The publication of our first sustainability report marks a special milestone. It reflects our achievements to date and will guide our future sustainable development,' says Johann Vetter, Head of Sustainability Management at the NETZSCH Group.
A Commitment to Sustainability
As early as 2023, NETZSCH launched a global sustainability initiative based on a materiality analysis involving internal and external stakeholders. Since then, internal competencies have been strengthened in a targeted manner, and processes have been structurally embedded. A comprehensive transfer of knowledge has also been carried out in the areas of product carbon footprint (PCF), corporate carbon footprint (CCF), corporate sustainability reporting directive (CSRD) and EU taxonomy. The roles and responsibilities of sustainability management are now clearly defined.
The report highlights NETZSCH's commitment to actively driving change and ensuring a sustainable future for generations to come, in line with its vision of sustainability: 'At NETZSCH, we are dedicated to green growth by balancing our planet, products, and people.'

PLANET – Build a green planet together
Climate change is one of the greatest challenges of our time – and NETZSCH is aware of this responsibility. At the heart of this is an integrated climate strategy with four pillars: climate protection, adaptation to climate change, energy efficiency and the use of renewable energies.
This includes the consistent reduction of emissions and close cooperation with suppliers to create sustainable value. A key lever is the systematic recording and reduction of the corporate carbon footprint. Sustainability is thus already considered during product development – with a focus on energy-efficient concepts, resource-saving materials and durable solutions to reduce emissions in downstream activities.
PRODUCT – Create value with sustainable products
NETZSCH products have always stood for energy efficiency, durability and reparability – and are therefore among the leaders in their sectors. In the future, recycling, resource conservation and the circular economy will become even more important.
Initiatives are already being implemented in all three business units: recycling rates are increasing, waste is being reduced and new solutions for a sustainable value chain are being developed. For customers, this means durable products, lower maintenance costs and the ability to replace components in a targeted manner – for greater sustainability throughout the entire life cycle.
PEOPLE – Empower our people & stakeholder
More than 4,600 employees in 36 countries contribute every day to passing NETZSCH on to the next generation as a healthy and sustainable company. Their diversity is a driving force for curiosity, innovation and sustainability.
At NETZSCH, we are committed to providing our employees with fair working conditions, equal opportunities and continuous development. This includes targeted training and development opportunities, work-life balance programs and a corporate culture that actively embraces diversity and inclusion. Our commitment to our employees is further reinforced by our comprehensive health management and preventive occupational health and safety measures.

Sustainability in Thermal Analysis
NETZSCH Analyzing & Testing has taken significant steps to ensure that its instruments align with the sustainability goals. With state-of-the-art Eco-Line instruments such as the HFM 706 Lambda Eco-Line series, the TG 309 Libra® thermobalance and the DSC 300 Caliris®as well as through responsible manufacturing practices, NETZSCH is committed to reducing its carbon footprint and enabling customers to achieve their sustainability objectives.
In addition, NETZSCH Analyzing & Testing in Selb has achieved a remarkable 60% reduction in energy consumption and CO₂ emissions per analyzer produced in 2024 compared to 2018 levels.

By publishing its first sustainability report, the NETZSCH Group is reaffirming its commitment to embedding ESG principles more firmly in its business strategies, and to promoting a culture of responsibility and innovation. 'In a changing world, sustainability is a key growth factor for the company's future success. We have made sustainability a strategic priority, with the support of a dedicated team driving its implementation throughout the company,' explains Paul NETZSCH, Member of the Executive Board.
